About the Treatment
Before treatment with Juvéderm® HYDRATE
If you are considering any skin treatment to improve your appearance, you owe it to yourself to explore the advantages of treatment with Juvéderm® HYDRATE. Juvéderm® HYDRATE is not a filler or volumizer, but a treatment specifically designed to improve skin hydration and elasticity in the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.
You may have friends or family members who have had similar hydration treatments; be sure to discuss their experiences with them…find out what they were treated with and how satisfied they felt with the results. Once you’ve determined that moving forward is the right choice for you, you’ll need to find a practitioner experienced in treatment with Juvéderm® HYDRATE.
When seeking a medical practitioner for an aesthetic treatment, it is very important to select someone who is medically qualified, works out of well-established premises, and is able to advise you on the best course of treatment for you. This practitioner should have specific training and established expertise in skin treatment. Find a practitioner near you.
Once you find the right practitioner, you should try to be very specific about your expectations of the treatment and your desired results. Make sure your practitioner understands exactly what you’re hoping to achieve.
Your practitioner also will want to know all about your health and request information about your complete medical history. Your medical practitioner will advise you about any potential risks and potential adverse events.
During treatment with Juvéderm® HYDRATE
First, your medical aesthetic practitioner will clean the area to be treated and may apply an anaesthetic cream to ensure the most comfortable treatment possible. After the injection, your medical aesthetic practitioner may smooth the product in your skin by massaging the treated area.
Juvéderm® HYDRATE, however, is specifically formulated to offer an easier and smoother treatment experience.
The actual treatment takes from 15 to 30 minutes. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will inject tiny quantities of Juvéderm® HYDRATE product, using a fine needle below the treatment area.
After treatment with Juvéderm® HYDRATE
Once your treatment is finished, your medical aesthetic practitioner will give you some valuable advice on what to do (and what not to do) after treatment. Most of this advice will be based on personal experience and may include the following:
- Don’t apply makeup for 12 hours afterwards
- You may see some swelling, bruising, or redness at the injection sites
- Use a perfume-free moisturiser if you have any dry skin
- If you have any concerns, contact your practitioner
Many patients notice that, once they have had treatment, their friends, colleagues, and family notice a difference, but can’t put their finger on what has changed. Treatment with Juvéderm® HYDRATE is a subtle enhancement, rather than a radical change.
Many medical aesthetic practitioners will ask to see you again 2 to 3 weeks after your initial skin hydration treatment. This is to make sure you are 100% happy with your results. If needed, he or she may administer a additional injections. Use this visit as an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about further treatment.
If you have any concerns after receiving treatment, the first thing to do is contact your medical aesthetic practitioner, who will be able to answer all treatment-related questions.
Results with Juvéderm® HYDRATE typically are long-lasting, up to 3 months when part of a skin treatment regime.
